An adventurous young sailor tests his skill in front of Hilton Coliseum after flood waters overtake the grounds along Lincoln Way. Two inches of rain fell in an hour on the evening of June 26, 1975 on top of ground already saturated by 13 inches of rain that month, causing the worst flooding Ames had seen in 57 years.
