I have lived on the Island of Bonaire for the last 25 years. I managed a dive shop for 10 years, owned my own Technical dive shop for 15 years specializing in deep decompression diving, mixed gas diving, (Trimix, Heliox, Oxygen, Nitrox ) and rebreathers down to depths of 130 meters. For those that are metrically challenged that would be 426 ft. I have supported dives as deep as 500 ft. Think 2 & 2/3 football fields deep. It is cold and dark down there. For every minute down there it costs you about 20 minutes to come back up. Some of our dives were 4 hours long. I have close to 10,000 dives, over 3,000 of those over 200 ft. deep. I sold my Business the end of last year. I have been doing guided Harley tours since last Nov. Now not doing anything until next Nov. Going to take a few months to play and decide what I am going to do if I ever grow up!!
